Feel Films’ year draws to a close with the signing of feature film director Nigel Cole. The exciting partnership returns Nigel to the industry that prepared him for many successful years on the big screen seeing the release of multiple award-wining films such as Saving Grace, Calendar Girls, Made in Dagenham and The Wedding Video.
With a background that also covered high-end documentary filmmaking, Nigel has enjoyed an equally thriving television career during which time he has taken the reins of some of the UK’s most loved and iconic TV shows. These include episodes of Peak Practice, Cold Feet and, more recently Last Tango in Halifax. He has also returned as lead director for the hugely popular Doc Martin, the series that was inspired by Saving Grace.
Nigel has wasted no time in completing his first job as a Feel director with a moving film for ifolor, Switzerland’s leading provider of personalised photo books. Assembling a strong cast that includes veteran actress, Helen Ryan (The Elephant Man) and Gina Bramhill, Nigel builds on the success of ifolor’s recent Vikings spot. Created by agency Walker Zurich, this Christmas commercial tells the story of an elderly lady who visits her dementia suffering husband in a nursing home. The touching gift of a photo book sparks the precious memory of the time they first met and danced together at a New Year’s Eve party. Watch it here.
