Daisy Allsop studied Philosophy at Cambridge University, where she was involved in student theatre and worked in her holidays in TV documentaries, and in film as a Producer’s Assistant, and as a freelance script reader. After graduating she spent a year as Acquisitions Assistant at Downtown Pictures, an independent UK distributor. In early 2001 she joined Capitol Films, where she spent three years as Development & Acquisitions executive.

At Capitol she was involved in the acquisition and development of ‘Five Children & It’ and moved across to work for producer Nick Hirschkorn on the production. She remained at Feel Films as Head of Development, managing their slate of literary adaptations from development through to production.

Daisy was a founder of Stellar Network UK, a membership organisation that connects professionals in film, television and theatre. As a script writer, Daisy is represented at AP Watt and her first feature script is in development with Fortuitous Films. She has a regular slot as a film pundit on the radio station Classic Gold, served on a number of panels, and short film festival juries, and taught script development workshops. She is also an Associate Producer on two films ‘The World Unseen’ and ‘I Can’t Think Straight’.
