We are thrilled with the news that David Roger has won an RTS Craft & Design Award for production design on Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. At the ceremony last night, his work was described as “…one of the most extraordinary design achievements in recent years, literally creating doorways and portals into a parallel world of strange and terrible beauty.”
The series, directed by FEEL’s Toby Haynes, is set in a parallel 19th century England in which magic is practised. David Roger’s achievement in bringing the universe of Susanna Clarke’s bestselling novel to life is formidable, and the award richly deserved.
Distinctive drama combined with stunning visual effects.
