Nick Murphy Shoots
Fire Kills Campaign

This film, shot for the COI on behalf of the Department for Communities and Local Government, is a hard hitting reminder to keep our smoke alarms checked regularly to prevent tragedies from occuring.

Combining twin narratives the film chillingly brings home the devastation that smoke and fire can have on a domestic home.

Hearing the effects delivered by a pathologist in a mortuary whilst also seeing the family that’s been affected by this terrible event really brings home how important it is to check your smoke alarm frequently.

Nick Murphy is the Bafta Award winning director of the BBC Drama ‘Occupation’ starring James Nesbitt and 2011’s critically lauded ‘The Awakening’ starring Rebecca Hall. He is just finishing prinicpal photography on his second feature ‘Blood’ starring Paul Bettany and will be available for commercial work in London and Worldwide in the coming weeks.
