Andy Morahan is one of the UK’s most renowned commercials directors. He has received accolades across every genre from his legendary Guns n’ Roses videos to his Guess Jeans ‘Cheat’ piece starring Harry Dean Stanton and Juliette Lewis, which is one of the most awarded commercials of all time, winning over sixty awards globally including five D&ADs, six Clios and two Silver Lions.
A central figure of the music video revolution which began in the late ‘80s and spanned the new millennium, Andy made his name working with international superstars including The Pet Shop Boys, George Michael, Michael Jackson and Elton John, before moving
into commercials where his high profile client list now includes Ford, Carling, Lynx, Bacardi, Barclays, Vodafone, VW, Canon, GHD, Virgin, Barry M and many more. He was recruited by Toyota for their Prius campaign, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and was the first director to use Eva Mendez, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Sienna Miller in commercials prior to their illustrious film careers.
Andy has also turned his hand to the live event arena, directing seven ‘Live Satellite Broadcasts’ from the Coliseum in London for the English National Opera into over 400 cinemas screens in the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
Andy recently co-penned the coming-of-age feature film ‘Boogie Man’, having previously directed ‘Murder In Mind’ for HBO, which had an art-house theatrical release and was shortlisted at Sundance. Andy’s debut feature, ‘Highlander III’ took more than $60m at the box office.
