Brian Kirk

Brian Kirk is an international drama director who has worked on countless headline drama shows around the world, and someone we like to refer to as ‘Mr HBO’, given the sheer volume of their award-winning shows he has helmed.

Originally from Northern Ireland, he has worked extensively in the UK and US on shows such as DexterLutherBoardwalk Empire and Luck. He also directed three seminal episodes of the first series of HBO’s international hit series, Game of Thrones and the TV Movie, My Boy Jack, starring Daniel Radcliffe concerning Rudyard Kipling and his son’s experiences during World War One.

In the UK Brian is probably best known for his acclaimed Dickens adaptation of Great Expectations for the BBC, starring Ray Winstone and Gillian Anderson. It was the recipient of four Emmys.

Brian continues his upward trajectory with his highly anticipated debut feature, the thriller, 21 Bridges starring Chadwick Boseman and Sienna Miller. Produced by the golden boys of Hollywood, The Russo Brothers (the directors of Avengers Infinity War and Endgame), 21 Bridges is scheduled for a September 2019 release, and we can’t wait.
